METHONI’S ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES (GUIDED)

Biking & Hiking Tour

Road cycling and coss-country tour. First section lead us to Paliomethoni area, where archaeological sites are waiting for us to be seen, among others: X century Byzantine Church and IV century catacombs of Saint Onoufrios (one of two catacombs existing in Greece).
From there main road take us back to Methoni. Just before the village we'll start second section of cross-country uphill leading to point where from we'll hike to the "Papas lake" (Του Πάπα η Λίμνα), which together with surrounding area is claimed as historical area of Methoni.

After having breake and snack (and perhaps refresh swim) we'll come back to the village.
